Amanda Matta (better known online as @matta_of_fact) is TikTok’s number one royal commentator: an art-history-trained storyteller, podcast host, and the sharp-witted voice behind The Fascinator, a popular royal newsletter. With more than 1.4 million followers, she’s known for breaking down the royals with curiosity, humor, and critical insight. Her first book, The Royal-TEA: A Commoner’s Guide to the British Monarchy, is out in spring 2027.

Amanda’s fascination with royalty began in childhood, when her mother gifted her a book of Princess Diana paper dolls and sparked a lifelong interest in royal fashion, history, and storytelling. That passion followed her to university, where her art historical research often led her to study royal portraiture and patronage.

IRL, Amanda lives in Central Pennsylvania with her husband. A lifelong lover of the arts, culture, and travel, she holds a master’s in Arts Administration & Museum Leadership from Drexel University and a bachelor’s in Art History & Museum Studies from Juniata College.
